• Enjoy a scenic drive through coffee and banana plantations towards Marangu, located on the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro.

🏡 09:30 AM – Visit to a Traditional Chagga Village

• Meet the Chagga people and learn about their culture, history, and daily life.

• Explore traditional Chagga huts, built using banana leaves and wooden frames.

• Discover local farming techniques and see how bananas, coffee, and other crops are grown.

☕ 10:30 AM – Coffee Tour & Tasting

• Visit a local coffee farm and learn about traditional Chagga coffee-making.

• Participate in the process from picking, roasting, and grinding coffee beans.

• Enjoy a freshly brewed cup of organic Chagga coffee.

🕳️ 11:30 AM – Explore the Chagga Caves & History

• Visit the Chagga underground caves, once used as hiding places during tribal wars with the Maasai.

• Learn about the fascinating history of the Chagga warriors and their strategies for survival.

🌊 12:30 PM – Visit to Ndoro or Kinukamori Waterfalls

• Take a short hike to one of Marangu’s stunning waterfalls.

• Enjoy the lush scenery and, if you like, take a refreshing dip in the natural pool.

🥗 01:30 PM – Traditional Chagga Lunch

• Taste a delicious local meal, featuring banana-based dishes, ugali, and grilled meat or vegetables.

• Try the famous Chagga banana beer, a traditional homemade brew.

🏛️ 02:30 PM – Visit to the Marangu Cultural Museum

• Explore the Marangu Museum, showcasing Chagga artifacts, history, and ancient tools.

• Learn about the early German and missionary influences in the region.
