Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Moshi

Arrive in Moshi and check into a comfortable hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may meet with your guide for a trek and safari briefing, resting in anticipation of your adventure ahead.

Overnight: Kilimanjaro Wonders Hotel or similar mid-range hotel in Moshi.

Meals plan: No meals.

Drive to Marangu Gate (1,860m) and trek 8 km through rainforest to Mandara Hut (2,700m) in 3-4 hours (Marangu Route). Spot monkeys and lush flora, settling into dormitory huts with a warm dinner. This gentle ascent begins your Kilimanjaro adventure, fueling your excitement for the mountain challenge ahead. 
Overnight: Mandara Huts
Meals Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Hike 11 km from Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut (3,720m) over 5-7 hours, entering moorland with Kibo Peak in view (Marangu Route). Rest in huts after a hearty meal, acclimatizing to the altitude. The trek’s beauty and effort ignite your adventurous spirit. 
Overnight: Horombo Huts
Meals Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

This day is used for acclimatization. The hike climbs toward Zebra Rocks before returning to Horombo Hut. The purpose is to help the body adjust to altitude while keeping physical strain moderate. The afternoon is usually spent resting and preparing for higher elevations.

Trek 10 km from Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut (4,703m) in 6-8 hours across the Saddle’s alpine desert (Marangu Route). Conserve energy with an early dinner in the hut, preparing for the midnight summit push. The stark landscape heightens anticipation.

Meals Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Start at midnight, climbing 6 km to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) in 6-8 hours, summiting at sunrise (Marangu Route). Celebrate at Africa’s highest point, then descend 16 km to Horombo Hut (3,720m) over 5-7 hours. Rest after dinner, victorious and exhilarated. 
 
Overnight: Horombo Hut
Meals Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Descend 19 km to Marangu Gate (1,860m) in 5-7 hours, collecting your summit certificate (Marangu Route). Transfer to Arusha, checking into a hotel for a well earned rest and dinner. Reflect on your Kilimanjaro triumph, ready for your safari. 


Overnight:
Parrot Hotel Arusha or similar mid-range hotel.

Meal Plan: Breakfast and Lunch.

Spend a full day on a private game drive in Serengeti, tracking the Big Five and more. Optional: Rise early for a hot air balloon safari (extra cost) over the plains, landing for a bush breakfast. Return to your camp for dinner, the savannah’s raw beauty fueling your post-trek adventure under Tanzania’s vast skies.

Overnight: Bouganivillea Safari Lodge or similar mid-range lodge.

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Enjoy a morning game drive in Serengeti, then transfer to Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive, spotting dense wildlife lions, rhinos, and elephants. Ascend and drive back to Arusha, arriving by evening for a final dinner or departure. Your adventure ends with memories of Kilimanjaro’s peak and Tanzania’s wildlife wonders.
